Was at the game and effort was lacking across the board for the Canes. I could see by the way they came out to start the second period that the energy was not there and it was not going to end well. I think it is games like this where leadership from Williams and Martinook is missed. Playing the second game of a back to back against a cellar dweller can be hard to get up for. It was a missed opportunity for points.

They're a good team, but a lack of jump last night combined with sub-par goaltending and some EXTREMELY questionable coaching decisions doomed them.
Down a goal with 7 minutes left and you bench Martin Necas and play Brock McGinn in his place? Why in the hell would you do that?
